Annual Ammonia Leak Response Drill - Thu, Nov 13 at 7pm

SEAPARC and the Sooke Fire Department will be conducting the annual ammonia leak response drill on Thursday, November 13 at 7:00pm. There will be no disruption to patrons, and all programs and drop-in activities will continue as scheduled. Staff will perform their duties as described in the SEAPARC ammonia exposure control plan, and the Public Alert Notification System (PANS) will be initiated for residents within a 300-metre radius of the facility. The Fire Department will conduct a full-scale response. This annual drill is important to ensure the response required from multiple agencies is well coordinated in the event of an actual emergency.
